On 27th April 2023, IQAC and Department of Commerce (B.Com. and M.Com.) of Bhavna Trust Junior and Degree College of Commerce and Science , organized a study tour to the Reserve Bank of India Monetary Museum and The Bombay Stock Exchange, Mumbai. The tour started in the morning at the onset of sunrise( at 8.00 am ), and about 32 students were accompanied by Professor Mrs. Rupali Sinkar and Professor Pooja Tiwari Madam in one bus.
The students visited the BSE Headquarters, upon entering the BSE, students were escorted to the 8th floor, where Dr Aditya V Srinivas, COO and Chief Economist addressed the students explaining how BSE functions and throwing light on some investment myths. He also answered students queries.
Then students visited the RBI Museum. In the Museum, a short film was played regarding the history of money and currencies worldwide and in India. In the Museum, coins dated centuries ago were displayed, making the origins of the rupee much clearer after which students went for lunch and returned to the campus by late evening.
The visit to BSE and RBI Museum were exhilarating and insightful for the students of Commerce ( B.Com. and M.Com.)
