The industrial visit of Bhavna Trust College of Commerce & B.Sc. Computer Science, Deonar was organised on 20th, 21st and 22nd August 2019. This year the college industrial visit committee planned to visit various industries at Sillvassa. Silvassa is a small industrial hub located in union territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli on the border of state of Maharashtra and Gujrat. Accordingly 43 students and 4 professors of Bhavna Trust Degree College participated in this three day industrial visit programme. A special 50 seater luxury bus was arranged for the transportation of students from the college gate to sillvassa.
On the first day the students visited Bombay Rayon Fashions Limited located in industrial estate at Khanvel Main Road, Village Kherdi, Silvassa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. BRFL is a vertically integrated textile company, engaged in the manufacture of a wide range of fabrics and garments from state of the art production facilities. Apart from being the largest Shirt manufacturer in India, It is a multi-fiber manufacturing company producing fabrics such as Cotton, Polyester, Tencel, Modal, Lycra, Wool and various blends. Their yarn dyed fabric, printing techniques, finishing, processing, weaving, stitching are a mark of excellence making every piece of fabric perfect. The students also visited the Butterfly park and nature park after the lunch and enjoyed the natural ambience during the rainy season.
On the second day the group visited MAN FOODS PVT.LTD. at village kharadpada , silvassa. Where Production of various Parle G products is done with maintaining all standards and hygeinic methods. The public relations officer of the company showed a beautiful short film about the history and performance of the company. The various products of parle group Biscuits Parle-G, 20-20, Magix, KrackJack, Monaco, Parle Marie, Milk Shakti, Parle Hide & Seek Bourbon, Parle Hide & Seek , Sweet confectionery Melody, Mango Bite, Poppins, 2 in 1 Eclairs, Mazelo, Kismi Toffee Bar, Kaccha Mango Bite Snacks Nachos, Parle\’s Wafers, Full Toss, Parle Namkeens, Parle Rusk, Parle Cake are famous products. The students observed the entire process of production right from dough mixing ,shaping, baking, cooling, sorting to packing. The students visited the famous Swaminarayan Mandir, the tribal museum of Adivasi community and the Portuguese Church in silvassa after the lunch. In the night a grand DJ party was organized for the students.
On the third day the students were allowed to enjoy the swimming in the spacious swimmimg pool of the hotel under the strict supervision of teachers and the lifeguard staff of the hotel. The group started their return journey at 3.00pm after having the lunch and reached safely at the college gates at 7.30 pm. The students were allowed to leave after the attendance and reporting to the management of the college.
The accommodation for students and teachers was arranged in a three star hotel, Golden Pond Resort in Khanvel .The food provided in breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious and of different varieties. The hotel rooms provided were neat, clean and spacious with double beds. Mr. Navin of Universal travel company was very cooperative and made nice arrangements during the industrial visit.
