IQAC and Marathi Vangmay Mandal is celebrated Marathi Bhasha Diwas on Monday, 27th February 2023 in the seminar hall.
February 27 is celebrated as Marathi Language Day in Maharashtra and Goa states in India. It is also known as ‘Marathi Bhasha Din’ and ‘Marathi Bhasha Diwas’ in Hindi and Marathi respectively.
Marathi Bhasha Diwas is celebrated on birthday of eminent Marathi Poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar. Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, alias Kusumagraj, was a noted Marathi poet and was born on February 27, 1912, at Pune in Maharashtra. Kusumagraj was not just a poet, but also a renowned poet, play-writer, novelist, and a story-writer.
