The NSS department of Bhavna Trust College of Commerce & B.Sc. Computer Science, Deonar conducted a blood donation camp for the students of the college on 5th Janaury 2019. The blood donation camp had a overwhelming response from the students, professors and staff of the college. Thirty one students of the college took part in the blood donation drive and donated 31 bottles of blood. The blood donation camp was organized with the assistance of reputed blood bank of Mumbai, J.J. Mahanagar blood bank which is recognized by state blood transfusion council of Maharashtra government (SBTC). The blood donation was conducted under the supervision of public relations officer Mrs. Neeta Dange and a team of 10 expert doctors and technicians of the blood bank. The donors were given certificates and blood cards of the government. The refreshements, biscuits, fruits, coffee etc were provided by the college management. The programme officers Prof. Shailesh Arondekar and Prof. Pratiksha Pawar took special efforts for conducting this blood donation drive .IQAC NAACcoordinators Prof. Roopa Kulkarrni , Prof. Vrushali Gholap , the heads of departments and professors of the college extended their valuable support for this event. The NSS volunteers created awareness about the blood donation by way of class to class canvassing and seminar by the doctors of blood bank.
