IQAC and Jain Mandal celebrated Mahavir Jayanti Saturday, 20th April 2024 in the room no. 207 at 11:00 am onwards. Jain mandal Convener Asst.prof. Bhavika Balani and speaker Prof. Shailesh Arondekar informed students about the Mahavir Jayanti.
The Mahavir Jayanti Janma Kalyanak is the most prominent and special occasion in the Jainism religion. To celebrate the Mahavir Jayanti festival, people follow the Gregorian calendar, and usually, according to the Gregorian festival, the holiday lies in the month of March or April every year Mahavir Jayanti is observed to celebrate the birthday of Mahavir. Lord Mahavir is considered as one of the finest and greatest social reformation and peace. Lord Mahavir spread the message of salvation and non-violence and his thoughts influenced many followers. the day celebrated in the month which is termed as the Chaitra month.
